Update on travel ban

Submitted by micol on Fri, 12/01/2017 - 12:48

The majority of the provisions of the Trump Administrations Travel Ban 3.0, issued via executive action on September 24, 2017, have been stayed and preliminary injunctions issued barring the Administration from enforcing many aspects of the ban. Two states, Hawaii and Maryland, successfully asked for this stay and the injunction on the basis that the action was unconstitutional.  Only those parts that apply to citizens of North Korea and to certain nationals of Venezuela remain in force. The Trump Administration has appealed both the Hawaii and Maryland decisions.  We will continue updating you on this ongoing issue in our newsletter next month.
